Halloween is a candy lover’s dream. But, if you want your pup to get in on the fun, your options can be a little limited – until now. We’ve compiled a list of 12 yummy dog treats that are just perfect for the festivities.

They’re safe for all dogs to eat, easy to make, and so delicious your dogs will fall deeper in love with you or, at the very least, follow you around all night.

Almond Butter Sandwich Cookies

This recipe makes approximately 20 treats.

What You Need:

  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 3 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • Chopped peanuts
  • More almond butter for serving

What To Do:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Put some parchment paper on a cookie sheet and set aside
  • Combine the water, coconut oil, and almond butter in a large mixing bowl
  • Add the flour and mix well
  • Wrap the dough in plastic and let it sit for about 30 minutes
  • Knead the dough into a firm ball that’s about 1/4 inch thick
  • Use a cookie cutter to cut out small circles

  • 1 cup low-fat, plain frozen yogurt

What to Do:

  • Mix all the ingredients together. If you want the mixture to be runnier, add more water as needed.
  • Pour the mixture into a Halloween themed mold
  • Put the mold in the freezer for 3-4 hours

Strawberry Shortcake Doggie Biscuits
This delightfully creamy doggie treat will get his tail wagging for sure.

This recipe makes 36 cookies.

What You Need:

  • 2/3 cup almond milk
  • 6 tbsp of applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups diced fresh strawberries

What To Do:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  • Line cookie sheets with parchment paper
  • Combine the lemon juice, strawberries, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix well and set aside
  • Mix the salt, baking powder, flour, and the rest of the honey in a large bowl
  • Stir in the applesauce until mixture looks like coarse crumbs

What to Do:

  • Mash the bananas well
  • Spoon the bananas into silicone ice cube trays until they are about 3/4 full
  • Top the banana with frozen blueberries until they fill up each cube

What You Need:

  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of coconut oil
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats

What to Do:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Combine all the ingredients until it creates a stiff dough
  • Use a rolling pin to shape the dough into a 1-inch deep rectangle
  • Use a Halloween themed cookie cutter mold to cut out the shapes and place each cookie on the cookie sheets. Use all the dough
  • Bake for 30 minutes, flip the cookies after the first 15 minutes

What You Need:

  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 or 3 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil

What to Do:

  • Add rolled oats, almond butter, and coconut oil to a food processor and mix until the ingredients are well combined. If the mixture is too wet or dry, add coconut oil or extra oats to correct.
  • Use an ice cream scoop to portion the dough and roll them into little balls
  • Gently toss each ball into the shredded coconut until it’s thoroughly coated
  • Place the balls on a flat tray lined with parchment paper

What You Need:

  • 1 3/4 cup almond flour

What to Do:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Grease two ramekin dishes using coconut oil
  • Mix the ingredients and blend until smooth
  • Fold in the strawberries
  • Pour the mixture into the dishes until they are about 3/4 full

  • 3 or 4 cups plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1 small tub of fresh strawberries

What To Do:

  • Use a potato masher to mash the strawberries
  • Mix the yogurt and strawberry mash in a mixing bowl
  • Pour the mixture into small cups and place the cups on a baking sheet
  • Freeze overnight

Carob chip ice cream is another tasty treat. For this recipe, you simply replace the strawberries with 1/2 cups of carob chips and a tablespoon of honey.

  • Combine all the ingredients (except the dog bone treats) into a blender and mix thoroughly. One minute should be enough.
  • Pour the mixture into small plastic cups
  • Put the dog bone in the middle of the mixture to serve as the handle
  • Put them on a baking sheet and place it in the freezer for at least an hour
  • Peel the paper cups away and serve
